Hello and welcome to Market Fantasy,
The baseball FOW closed up a modest .7% this week at $771.47. This marks the third straight week of gains as the stars start to distance themselves from the competition and some injured players finally start to get back on track.
On the plus side, the second base and third base sectors led the gains this week. Ian Kinsler especially had a surge as he looks to finish the season strong following a disappointing start. On the other side of things, the outfield sector really weighed on the index, with only Andrew McCutctchen (who has been a beast in August) posting a small gain. Jose Bautista landing on the disabled list certainly didn’t help matters either.
Thanks for reading this quick update. Later in the week, I hope to have a lot of football content up just in time for the last drafts of the season and the start of regular season play.
