Today, I want to show a quick analysis of how players finished last year compared to how they started the year. Every year, we see players finish strong, hinting at a potential breakout. We also see guys get off to a hot start, only to fizzle out when their fantasy teams need them the most. The charts in the following pages show position by position how certain players finished the year compared to how they started.
To do this, I took the average score of weeks 1-9 and the average score of weeks 10-17. I then calculated the percent change to show how players finished. What I have shown below are some risers, fallers, and those who provided steady production throughout the year. The risers and fallers gained or lost at least 25% in weekly scoring respectively. The steady players rose/lost between 0% and 10% in weekly scoring.
